How we use it

To do the work, keep things secure and meet our legal duties. Never to sell.

  • Reply to enquiries, run discovery calls and send proposals.
  • Deliver client work: design, development, hosting, maintenance, campaigns, content and reporting.
  • Call and qualify leads for a client, then share the result with that client.
  • Bill clients and keep accounts.
  • Keep our systems and our clients’ systems secure and prevent misuse.
  • Meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
  • Improve our services, using aggregated or de-identified data wherever we can.

We rely on your consent, on what is needed to perform a contract you asked for, and on the other legitimate uses allowed under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use our clients’ customers’ data to market our own services.

05

How this works in each service

Every service touches data a little differently. Here is how.

Social media management and content

We manage client accounts on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and other platforms with the client’s permission. We may see comments and messages sent to those accounts and reply on the client’s behalf. We use them only to run that client’s account.

Performance marketing and lead generation

We run Meta and Google ad campaigns for clients. At the client’s request we may install tracking tools such as the Meta Pixel, the Conversions API or Google tags on the client’s website, and build audiences inside the client’s own ad accounts. Leads from these campaigns belong to the client and are delivered to the client.

AI voice agents: lead callback and AI receptionist

For clients who use our AI agents, a voice assistant calls people soon after they submit an enquiry, or answers calls made to the client’s number. Leads reach us from Meta Lead Ads through Meta’s official APIs, only for Pages we are authorised to manage, from Google Ads lead forms, and from the client’s website forms.

The assistant names the business it is calling for and says it is an AI assistant. The enquiry form tells you that calls may be recorded. Calls are made only within permitted calling hours. If you ask not to be called again, we stop and add your number to that client’s do-not-call list. The call result, summary and recording link are shared with the client by WhatsApp, email or a shared spreadsheet.

Websites and apps we build for clients

The client owns the product and its users’ data, and the client’s privacy policy applies. We access that data only as needed to build, test, launch and maintain the product, and only on the client’s instructions.

Video production

When we film or edit content for a client, the client is responsible for getting consent from the people who appear in it. We use the footage only for that client.

Our own apps and products

Wakeup Monster also builds its own products. Each one explains what it collects in its own privacy policy or in-app notice. Where a product does not have one yet, this policy applies.

06

When we act for a client

The client is in charge of their customers’ data. We process it for them.

For most client work, the client decides why and how personal data is used. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the client is the Data Fiduciary and Wakeup Monster is the Data Processor. We process that data only on the client’s documented instructions, keep it confidential, protect it, and delete or return it when the engagement ends.

If you have a question about how a business uses your data, please contact that business. We will help them answer you.

07

Data from Meta and Google

Platform data is used only for the client it belongs to.

Our Meta apps receive lead form data and send WhatsApp messages only for Pages and accounts we are authorised to manage for a client. We follow Meta’s Platform Terms and Google’s policies for any data we receive through their tools. We use this data only to provide our service to that client. We do not sell it or use it to build profiles of people, and we delete it when it is no longer needed or when you ask us to.

08

Who we share it with

Only the client it belongs to and the providers that help us run the service.

We share personal data only with the client it was collected for, with service providers bound by confidentiality and data protection terms, and with authorities where the law requires it. Our main providers are:

ProviderWhat they do for us

Cookies and tracking

Our site keeps this minimal. If we add analytics or ad pixels, we will list them here.

Our website uses only what it needs to work. If we add analytics or advertising tools such as Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel, we will list them here and, where required, ask for your consent first. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

10

Where your data is stored

AI agent data stays in India. Client project data may sit where the client is.

Data for our AI agent platform is stored in India, in Google Cloud’s Mumbai region. We work with clients in India, Australia, the UAE, the UK and the US, so project data may be stored or processed in the client’s country or by providers in other countries. When that happens, we use providers with appropriate safeguards.

12

How we protect it

Encryption, access controls and the least access each person needs.

We use encrypted connections, access controls, two-factor authentication, a secrets manager for keys and tokens, and least-privilege access for our team. Production data stays in managed cloud services, not on personal devices.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will inform the affected client and you, and report it to the authorities as the law requires.

13

Your rights

Ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and any other law that applies to you, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
  • Correct, complete or update it.
  • Erase it.
  • Stop using it where we rely on your consent, by withdrawing that consent.
  • Let someone you nominate exercise these rights for you.
  • Look into a complaint.

Write to info@wakeupmonster.com with the subject “Privacy Request”. If we hold the data for a client, we will pass your request to that client and help them respond. To delete data, see our Data Deletion page. If you live outside India, your local law may give you more rights. Write to us and we will help.

14

Our website and services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Apps we build for clients follow the client’s own policies on children’s data.
